Privacy
This notice explains what happens to personal information when you use the Unfoldry website, request a free opportunity review, or continue through the review process.
Who is responsible
Unfoldry operates this website and is responsible for the personal information described here. Privacy questions and requests can be sent to contact@unfoldry.ai.
Information we collect
When you submit the opportunity review form, we collect:
- your email address and optional company website;
- your selected language, approximate country, browser information, and submission time;
- a salted hash of your IP address, used for abuse prevention and rate limiting.
- any workflow context you choose to provide directly, such as rough volumes, tools, handoffs, quality issues, and constraints.
If you use the no-email public opportunity preview, we store the submitted public website, selected language, generated preview, temporary access tokens, and a salted IP hash for abuse prevention. The value calculator runs only in your browser and does not send its inputs or results to Unfoldry.
If the review continues, we may also store public company research, draft and approved questions, your answers and additional context, review status, and security records used to give you access to the questionnaire.
How and why we use it
We use this information to:
- respond to your request and provide the opportunity review you asked for;
- research publicly available information about the website you provide;
- prepare, review, send, and translate focused questions and review materials;
- protect the form, manage access, prevent abuse, and maintain service records.
The legal basis is taking steps at your request before a possible contract and our legitimate interests in operating, securing, and improving the review service. We do not sell your information or use it for advertising.
Automation, AI, and service providers
Unfoldry uses Cloudflare for hosting, database storage, and Turnstile bot protection; n8n for workflow automation; Google Workspace for operational records and email; and AI or translation providers to help research public website information, draft questions, and translate review content. These providers process information on Unfoldry’s behalf under their applicable terms and data-processing arrangements.
Draft questions are reviewed by a person before they are sent. The service does not make solely automated decisions that produce legal or similarly significant effects about you. Some providers may process information outside the European Economic Area using applicable contractual or legal transfer safeguards.
If you choose to use Unfoldry AI inside the workflow brief, your message, the active question, your current brief answers, and the recent assistant conversation are sent to OpenAI to generate help. Unfoldry does not store that conversation as a separate chat. We store only a salted IP hash and request time for abuse prevention and spend limits. Nothing is added to an answer unless you choose to insert it, and inserted text remains editable. Do not use the assistant for sensitive or confidential information.
Retention
We keep information only while it is needed to handle the request, provide the review, maintain reasonable business and security records, or meet legal obligations. Retention depends on whether a request becomes an active client conversation. You can ask us to delete your information when it is no longer needed, subject to any legal reason to retain it.
Public opportunity previews that are not attached to a review request expire after 48 hours and are deleted opportunistically. If you continue to a review, the preview becomes part of that request and follows the review retention described above.
Measurement, cookies, local storage, and fonts
The website uses first-party, cookie-free acquisition measurement. It records the event type, page path, language, campaign parameters, and referring hostname for up to 12 months. It does not record IP addresses, user-agent strings, full referrer URLs, cookies, or cross-site identifiers for measurement. Your language preference is saved in your browser’s local storage. A temporary preview token may be saved in session storage so the preview can be attached if you continue to a full review. Cloudflare Turnstile may set or read technically necessary information to verify that a form submission is legitimate. Typefaces are hosted by Unfoldry and loaded directly from this website.
Campaign parameters and the referring hostname may remain in session storage until the tab closes, so the original source is still attached when you move between pages.
Your rights
Depending on the circumstances, you may ask to access, correct, erase, restrict, or receive a copy of your personal information, or object to processing based on legitimate interests. Send requests to contact@unfoldry.ai. You may also lodge a complaint with the data-protection authority in the country where you live or work.
